Title says it all. I need to draw more or I will never get any better. It's frustrating to see how other people's art evolves and how my abilities get worse o.O. Colors are not my thing that's why I also post the outlines.





This one is actually pretty old, I think it's from 2007, the chances that I will ever finish it are pretty low but who knows.

I love both the colors and the pencils of that first picture - it's amazingly eerie and beautiful.

The second picture of the girl in the sketchbook is digital right?  Or is that actually traditional and it actually scanned that vivid?

Actually it's a mixture of these both things. It's just a pencil sketch that was scanned and that I started to color digitally. It's nice to know that it looks vivid. I wasn't sure about the colors since I'm not that good at choosing the right colors for a picture.

My first try at coloring this lineart I drew last night,and  once again- I thought it would look so cool but my coloring skills are still not that good.

I inked it and this version is much better.

Your artwork never ceases to amaze me Amy  I ESPECIALLY love the two pictures of the hands in front of the lamp.. The coloring is so beautiful! .  I wish I was that great when it comes to realism ^_^ You have a talent there if you ask me.

I love love love the three girls sitting - that one is especially interesting.  I think your colors there are fantastic - very fitting to the style.

I really like the last one, really cool concept.

For coloring you should try picking a single color for the whole image, then building light from that, keeps it more simple. Just for practice anyways, or try in greyscale, that way you can concentrate on the values and shading rather than the tone/colors. :]

 Aero : Thank you so much for the sweet comment. I love realism, but I kinda lost the patience for it. I can't make myself sit down and draw for hours like I used to.  I'm glad you like it .

Juno: Thank you ^_^!  I'm actually proud that I managed to finish it. There won't be any new pictures for a while. I'm not at home. Holiday, you know. So I won't have a scanner or tablet during the next 4 weeks.

Sloo: Actually, the concept is over 2 years old I think. No wait, rather three ^^; .
Thank you for the advices! I know nothing about really cool lighting effects. I think  I should practice the basics first. I'll try greyscale next time. That should be interesting.
