[Ki-chan]

Not sure if there was a pet thread or if it died, but here I am introducing at last my first pets since I moved out of my parents' house. They're small, smelly, and insanely cute! Meet my three pet mice, Briar Rose, Jasmine, and Fiona (After Disney Princesses, yes, although I'm not so sure Fiona is Disney....) They're adorable little "fancy mice", two of them are white with spots, one black, one ginger, and the other is completely brown, caramel colored. Pictures will follow as soon as I can get them to sit still long enough for me to catch one on my camera. I encourage everyone to show pictures of their pets here as well!

I think we had one but by this point it's probably YEARS old and outdated.  No reason we can't have a new one! 

I don't have any new pics of Angus on the computer yet - but I'll update this in a little bit when I do.

Well, they said we ought to leave them for a day or so before trying to handle them, so after waiting a couple of days, I figured it was safe to snap a few pictures of them, no flash of course, hence the dark and rather poor quality of the pictures. Still, now you have faces for the names. So far Fiona is very skittish and nervous, but loves rolling around in the ball, but prefers sleeping in the igloo over running in the wheel. Jasmine is more bold and curious; we haven't had her try the ball out yet, but she likes running on the wheel. Briar Rose is docile but inquisitive, and loves running on the wheel whenever Jasmine is on it. She doesn't care much for the ball. We've only had them a couple of days, but they are already showing us a little of their personalities. They sleep most the day and do a lot of exploring at night.

Bugger. Fiona escaped. I set up a home-made humane "trap" and am hoping it will work. I hate the thought of her chewing through some wires and electrocuting herself. Poor little fluffball. With any luck, there will be a little brown mouse scurrying around the bottom of my cushioned trash can in the morning.
