I'm glad I'm not the only person who is new to anime. My future husband has successfully turned me on to it. (Something I think Mike has been trying to do for years). Oh- btw- to Mike and Blair- I sorta raided the movie collection while you guys were in Vegas. It's my fee for feeding Angus-
So yeah- I've been watching a lot of anime lately. got to see Trigun, Samurai Champloo- loved those! We also watched all of Naruto. I didn't know what all the fuss was about- the show that Cartoon Network shows is... not good. but found the "real" version of Naruto online. It's good.
I've seen Neon Gensis, working on Bleach (this would be my fav I think), working on Trinity Blood (bit like Trigun- very good as well), and working on GitS.
Any "must sees" in the world of anime that I need to find the time for?

Hee thats okay. It's all most likely Mike's anyway. I think most of my anime got left in Texas.

Nah, Sailor Moon was my first anime. I still love it. Hence the DVDs. I really only can get into the parts of the series with Saturn or Uranus/Neptune. That was an awesome arc. Too bad the whole series wasn't as good as that. ^_-

no matter how many times I hear it; "Sailor Uranus" is still funny. I used to enjoy the show myself for a while. A local store even sold the old crappy VHS tapes for it. Never bought one.

another great animes for me are gungrave ohh yeah i love it the OAVs of rounori kenshin i cry the first time i saw it TT__TT evangelion actually it was the hit when i enter to this lil world macross plus ohh sharon apple make me yours ghost in the shell the first movie is awesome and the series too and i haven't see the second one FLCL i love it and other that i don't remmeber right now

Elfen Lied is seriously just wow and o.O at the same time.
I personally like Blood+, Ghost in the Shell (tv and 1st movie not really 2nd), Naruto. I'm currently watching Dennou Coil and its getting up into one of my favs as well
forgot 2 of them: Crest of the stars/Banner of the Stars (same series diff name for 2and3 season) and Last Exile

my favorite anime you ask. umm well bloodplus, hellsing, gungrave, execlsaga, naruto, laste exile, banner of the stars, cowboybepop, outlaw star, akira, experment lain, .hack//signs, .hack//roots, inital d, umm if i can think of the rest ill post them!

Blood+ tops my list.
There's a bunch of anime which I hold in high regard, but Blood+ does everything right.
