Just saw Indian Jones. Was good, but a little hokey. Definitely want to see Iron Man, but I think I missed it. I also want to see Kung Fu Panda. Hopefully I can talk hubby into going to see it.

Stargate Continuum - Far better than Ark of Truth, but still kinda felt like an extended episode (complete with about a million time traveling plot holes). It doesn't really pick up until the last half hour, but it's well worth the wait. Aside from a bit of REALLY unnecessary swearing, the added gore and surprisingly decent special effects were really welcome, gave the whole thing a bit more of a cinematic feel.

Just got back, and like the nerd that I am, I'm on the internet posting my feelings about it. It was pretty damn good, it starts off a bit slow though. Thankfully, it picks up momentum and by about halfway through it's utterly fucking awesome! I was pretty much in awe at some of the action sequences, and some of the surprise twists really hit me hard.
Sadly though, it suffers from the same problem that Batman begins did, the ending is a letdown. Or should I say, endings, because this one movie that doesn't know when to quit. Just when you think it's moving towards a thrilling climax, a new scene starts, and after about the second or third time this happens, you're pretty much over it. I wish I could saw this was the best movie of the year, but the last half hour (and fuck is it a long movie by this point anyway) really fizzles out. Heath Ledgers Joker is amazing as well, untileven he starts to seem a bit tired of things dragging on.
As it stands, it was a damn good movie, just suffers from a pretty flat ending.
Oh and Christian Bales batman voice is still fucking stupid, but thankfully he doesn't use it much.
PS - I'm getting a tad sick of 2 and a half hour movies, 90 minutes is fine for an action movie, don't pad it out until my bum gets sore from sitting in an uncomfortable cinema for so long.

I agree; however, I don't see Batman as being an action movie. The action in it was solid, and pretty creative at parts. I just see it as much more than an action flick. There is a dramatic, socially relevant story being told, and to resolve that story as well as the stories of the individual characters, I think it needed to be as long as it was.
True, it did seem a
little
padded at points, but nowhere near as much so as past Batman movies have been known to be. I mean, as good as Tim Burton's Batman was, when I watch it these days there are parts where I almost fall asleep. The Dark Knight had none of that; for all its length, it kept the story rolling. I thought it was very well-paced.
Also, you have to consider that a director might focus on something relatively small for a bit longer than we think he should in order to help make it dramatic and have the audience take it seriously.
I thought it was the best Batman movie yet, to be completely honest.
P.S. -- Bale's Batman voice didn't bother me nearly as much as the way his lips moved. He just
looks
stupid when he talks as Batman.
I think I'm going to post a review.

last movie? WALL-E. ZOMG, it was 100% adorable. There's really no other wasy to describe it, personally, I could have done without most of the Captain's scenes, but otherwise I absolutely adored the entire movie.

Tropic Thunder
I don't have a very strong sense of humor and rarely laugh a comedies, but I was crying half-way through the fake previews. The funnay doesn't stop throughout the whole movie, but it does slack off to let you breathe every now and then.
See it. You won't regret it.

jumper: has its moments of action. no expectation of any more than that.
Be kind Rewind was certainly a different sort of comedy. weird in some ways, but that's what the director is known for and what made an idea that could get old pretty quick (you tube already gives enough spoofs on a daily basis) but the odd charm is what made it watcheable.
