Well, you remember your 21st by the fact that you had it. Kinda like your first love. That one ends up repressed. Your 21st birthday ends up an offering to the porcelain god. Lord knows I don't remember mine.

I'm going to try and stay sober on my 21st birthday. I'm drunk any other day usually. Figured I'd do something special. Then again...I'll be able to walk into a liquor store and browse to my heart's content. Maybe I'll make it special by getting hospitalized then thrown into the local crazy house for detox. I hear they give you fun pills that make you go into panic attacks if you even think about alcohol. Yeah, it's gonna be sweet.

HAPPY 21!!!!!!

I remember mine (of course, that was only a few months ago). I had a 103 fever and could barely stand, but I promised my friends I'd go out with them. Early February + fever + wind + alcohol + mari = pass out

As aweful as it sounds, I got hugged by this really hot guy, so it was all worth it in my opinion.

spa: Today I was collecting specimens in the swamp... when an emu came... and began to follow me. (and NO I am not making this shit up!)

Vomit? What the hell? If I drink enough I vomit...and it doesn't make me want to quit.

spa: Ran over one of our dogs earlier. Seems she was sleeping under my car and didn't bother to move when I started it up and let it run for a good three minutes. Squished her around inbetween the bottom of the car and the driveway. She's fine, though. I'll never forget that indescribable look the dog gave me when she came out from under the car..fur all messed up and dirty/oily.

Yes, the west bank of the Mississippi is a magical place. It seemed like a fairly well-mannered bird though. It just followed me and watched what I was doing. It didn't make a fuss or anything.

If I see him again when I go back, I'll be sure to bring him some... er... emu food.

Some people raise emus and ostriches for profit. Their feathers, skins, eggs, oil and meat are all valuable. If you go a distance away from the city here, you'll find some people with a few acres farming the birds... weird but so.
