Update:
The Celica...is mine.
Plus, I'm now working on building up the 18RG 4 banger.
Note: 18R-Gs are supposed to cost a lot to build (Especially here in North America you lucky Aussie, New Zealanders, and Euro trash jackasses!). They are not common, in fact, most people find them damned RARE, seeing as how Toyota only made approximately 150,000 of these engines. Total. Period.
So far, Andy paid $1800 for the car...I got the car, plus the RG, and Andy's Megasquirt and other fuel injection goodies for $2000.
I just got about 4 boxes of 18RG parts, (including a second usable head, and an original TRD header...albeit welded), for $300. The header alone should be worth that.
Getting a later model head soon for $450ish, from down in Nevada (Shipping is horrifically expensive). It's already polished, comes with another set of dual valve springs, and other stuff as well.
...Now....to tear apart the shortblock and prep the block for use!

It's got Ported & Polished Head with 1mm Oversized Valves, Custom Twin Front Mounted Intercoolers and Intake Pipes, Adjustable Boost Controller, 52mm Throttle Body, Talon Blow-Off Valve with K&N Breather Cap Filter, K&N cone filter, 2.5inch Stainless Steel Exhaust with Flow Master Delta Flow Muffler, Dash Mounted Autometer Boost & Air Fuel Gauges, Talon TSI double spray injectors, 20 LBS of boost.
My 86 Turbo Z
And my 1991 IROC (One of 13)

*cries* my wreck is going to be a "classic car" by Texas legislation in 3 more years
1987 Nissan Maxima GX - two-tone grey/pewter
- somebody hit it in the parking lot last month, so the driver side mirror is hanging by its wiring
- it has so many dings and scratches that I don't bother washing it (they really show when it is clean)
- it needs a new water pump... it growls, the thirsty beast!
At least the engine, A/C and moon roof still work XD

Oh, I'm sorry - what? Heh.
Wow. Your 89 is pristine - mine looked like that before the TX sun killed it - our models are almost exactly the same. And aw, the 86 - man those were neat times. My first Daytona ride ever was in an 85.
And I totally want your 91's hood. That is niiiice.

Haha thanks, but actually the '89's paint isn't the best. If it's parked under a light during night it kind of looks orange >.. I also cut out the front center piece in the ground effects to give a bit more air for the intercooler. My 91 hood was easy to make, just take it to any metal shop or body shop and see if you can get someone to cut out the bulge where you want and just shape a new piece and weld it back in. Then of course you have to sand it down and repaint the hood.
Glad you like them though :3. Daytona's are amazing and I love how not many people think much of them. My Shelby can take on a few more cars than people think.
