Title: READ > COMPREHEND > POST -- Forum Etiquette 101
Post by: pinkfairywand on April 10, 2007, 01:13:46 PM
(Cross-posted to this forum since it's so busy and some people may have missed it in General Discussion!)
Some people aren't reading the posts before them, which means they end up repeating what one or many other people have already said, OR that they ask unnecessary questions that have actually already been answered. I think we'll all benefit from learning the following mantra:
Or R>C>P if you're hip and "with it"
Let's break this down! *wikiwikiwiki* <-- that is the sound of a turntable okay?
READ the thread, and all of the responses, which will enable you to...
COMPREHEND the original post (OP) and all of the responses therein, allowing you to...
POST a response that contributes new thoughts or acknowledges existing ones!
This lesson should follow you throughout all of your inaterweb forum adventures and will surely enrich your experiences there or save baby kitties or something I don't know.
P.S. GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND it is there for a reason.
